Initiated in late 2022, Realm of Flow marks a return to photography after several years of experiments across other artistic media. The series accompanies a relocation to Milan and an ongoing inquiry into identity.

Born in northern China, having lived in the southwest and now working in Italy, Fanhua approaches identity as a fluid condition rather than a fixed destination. Flash photography turns ordinary fragments of daily life into unfamiliar scenes. Living spaces, objects and landscapes become a way to ask how the self changes when familiar surroundings are replaced by the unknown.
